Saturday, June 25th
Pebble Creek’s annual Wildflower Concert will be held from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Saturday June 25. Concert goers can nestle their lawn chairs and blankets in the wild flowers on the slopes. The hillside just above the deck provides a perfect view of both the performers and the sunset. A wild flower hike before the concert is a great way to start the evening.
We have an exciting band line up this year, with Best by Yesterday will starting the evening. The featured band is the Maw Band.
The Maw Band is a quickly rising, powerful, acoustic driven rock, funk, bluesy band touring the old way and playing music to fans around the country. With influences from Dave Matthews Band, Umprey’s McGee, Slightly Stoopid, Neil Young, Glen Hansard, Colin Hay, Jack White and more. The Band combines curious sounds and rhythms with insightful lyrics and rockin beats. Playing close to 100 shows a year, Maw Band is shaped by the sounds of (Drummer – Eli Preston)(Bassist -Brad Corbin)(Guitar -Thomas Farwell)(Guitar & Vocal – Brian Maw).
Concert tickets are available in advance in Pocatello at Barrie’s Sports, Sand Trap, Portneuf Valley Brewing, and Elements. Tickets are $8.00 in advance and $10.00 at the gate. Children 12 and under are admitted to the concert free of charge. If the weather is wet, the concert will take place inside the lodge.
Lift Rides Available
In celebration of the beautiful natural wildflower display, Pebble Creek will operate the Sunshine Triple Chair Lift before the concert, for persons wanting to take a wildflower hike back down the mountain. Plan on hiking down the mountain as downhill lift service is not available. This year, flowers should be at their prime. There will be an interpretive display of wildflowers in the lodge area. Lift rides are offered from 4:30 to 6:45 PM. The cost for the lift ride is $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for kids 5 to 12. Sorry, no kids under 5 are permitted on the lift.
Portneuf Brewing will serve a variety of their local brews and National Ski Patrol members will be barbecuing a delectable menu of food on the deck.
The Festival is a fund raiser for the Pebble Creek National Ski Patrol.
