Little Stars

This program is for our littlest skiers to learn to ski with fun and games. The 2-hour afternoon sessions keep young attention spans in mind while taking advantage of the usual warmer temperatures.

Our classic All Day children’s program for beginner and intermediate skiers. Gives any child a solid base while allowing advancement at their own pace.

Midweek Ski or Board Lessons

Take an afternoon off work for seven weeks and hit the slopes! You will definitely end up a better skier or boarder!

Beginner lessons offered on Thursdays.

Women’s Edge

A 3-week program designed exclusively for women. The goal is to increase your skill level, overcome fears and boost confidence while meeting new friends in a supportive social environment.

Check in begins at noon, with clinics starting at 1:00.

Lessons are offered for beginners. For those on the move, clinics with a video analysis will focus on what you need to make you feel better on your skis.

Barrie’s Ski & Sports will supply some demo skis for you to try.

Then join in for and Aprés Ski Gathering in the Lodge at 3:30

ISU Classes

During the first eight week session, earn one PE credit on the slopes! Day 1 is a classroom session followed by 7 sessions on the snow.

Beginner ski and snowboard lessons are held on Thursday afternoons.

Beginner, intermediate and advanced ski and snowboard lessons are held on Friday afternoons.

Bonus! Upon class completion, We will give you a Season pass for the rest of the season. ski the month of March including spring break for free!

Pocatello Adaptive Ski School (PASS) Program

Instruction is available to any interested person with a disability regardless of previous skiing experience.
Session: Thursdays – Thursday’s beginning in mid-January for six weeks.

Lesson Times: Skiers leave from the HOG office at ISU at noon and return around 5:00 p.m.

Cost: $130 for all six weeks or $25 per lesson.  Each lesson includes up to two hours of one-on-one instruction, lift ticket, and adaptive equipment.

Private lessons are also available by reservation.

This program is for ages 15 and up. Employment with skiing/boarding privileges is available for course graduates.


Classroom Times: 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Classroom Location: Reed Gym on the ISU Campus – Room # 302
On Snow Sessions: 4 Saturdays or Sundays (as Snow Permits)
Training Program: Classroom Sessions One Night per Week for 8 Weeks

To be hired as an instructor you must:

  • Successfully complete the course
  • Attend a new employee orientation session

Rate of pay for first year instructors:

  • $9.00 per hour instructed for part time.
  • $9.50 per hour instructed for full time
  • Lift ticket for days rostered to teach (season pass issued after teaching 50 hours)
  • Clinics throughout the season to work on your skills and technique

Salary and benefits increased for subsequent years of teaching.
