PEBBLE CREEK HOSTS

ANNUAL SNOWBOARD RALLY

The Seventeenth Annual Snowboard Rally is Saturday, March 14th at Pebble Creek Ski Area. Expect plenty of Boarder action on the mountain. With Pebble Creek being noted for its abundance of natural extreme terrain, there are plenty of skilled boarders wanting to show their stuff. Of course, skiers are also welcome.

Highest Ollie Contest at 11:00am

In this elimination event, boarders will jump over a high jump type pole that will be raised to provide continued challenge. The event will be followed by the Farthest Ollie Contest.  Both events will be held just above the lodge.

Big Air Competition at 12:00.

Followed by the Rail Jam and 180 Style Contest

The Big Air Competition is at 12:00.  The Rail Jam and 180 Style Contest will follow. These exciting events will be held in the Terrain Park and are visible from the Lodge.  Judging is based on amplitude, standard maneuvers, rotations and landings.

Best Trick Competition at 4:40.

A featured event is the Best Trick competition at 4:30.   Participants will have a chance to show their skills on both a rail and a jump. Located just above the lodge, this is a great spectator event.

For all events, participants are divided into age groups with male and female divisions. Inverted air, feet above the head, is not permitted. Inverted air will result in loss of pass privileges for the rest of the season.

The Awards Ceremony will begin shortly after the lifts close on Saturday. Competition winners will each receive a coveted "Piece of the Rock". Participants are entered to win great draw prizes.  Draw prize winners must be present to receive their prizes.

The registration fee for the Seventeenth Annual Snowboard Rally is $18.00. The entrance fee includes a T-shirt for the first 100 participants, allows the rider to compete in the events, and be eligible for draw prizes at the Awards Ceremony. Registration is in the office. All riders must have a valid lift ticket or season pass to access the course and features.
