Yee-haw Ride that Barrel!

Bringing back a local favorite event! Pebble Creek Ski Area is hosting the Annual Cowboy Classic on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Race time is 1:00pm.

Watch the thrills and spills as teams consisting of two tethers and one rider negotiates through gates and over bumps. The end of the course requires the rider to hop off the barrel and quickly rope a steer. This event is visible from the lodge and makes a great day for guests to come up, grab a burger, and watch the action right from the deck.

There will be some new exciting prizes for this event for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

Due the nature of this event, both tethers must be at least 18 years old and the minimum age for a barrel rider is 16 years old.
