Scout Ski Days are scheduled for both Martin Luther King Day, Monday, January 16th and President’s Day, Monday, February 20th at Pebble Creek Ski Area.
On those days, a program is offered to assist Boy and Girl Scouts in obtaining their Snow Sports Merit Badge. In order to complete the merit badge program, scouts should be able to make linked turns and ski or board groomed runs serviced by the Sunshine Triple chairlift. All requirements for the Merit Badge and parts of the Interest Patch requirements will be covered during this one day program.
First time beginner lessons are offered for scouts who have never skied or boarded before. Scouts that have never skied or boarded before will have a good start, but not yet meet all criteria for the merit badge.
Scouts that already have their merit badge may choose to just have fun on the slopes. This allows troops with scouts of varying abilities to participate together,
All participants should register down stairs in the lodge by 9:30AM with the merit badge clinic and 1st time beginner lessons scheduled to begin at 10:00AM. The program fee is $25.00 for the lift ticket and the merit badge clinic or first time lesson. Rental skis are available for only $12.00 and snowboards for just $15.00. Helmet rentals with the package are $3.
This special program is for active scouts and their leaders. With the regular price for at day ticket at $43, ski rental at $25 and snowboard rental at $30, the program price is a great value!
